The inked, 2024

Ink stains bleeding through the back of the paper uncover beauty and represent an effort to transform these marks into abstract art. After being drawn with acrylic gouache and oil-based pens on paper, the back side was scanned and traced using Illustrator for the final creation. The print paper used is Montesion paper 97GSM, chosen for its thinness and craft-like quality that allows for bleeding. The work is composed of symbolic colors associated with writing: notebooks, black ink, and red and blue pens.

紙の裏面に滲み出るインクの跡。そこに美しさを見出し、抽象画への昇華を試みた作品。実際にアクリルガッシュや油性ペンで紙に描いた後、その裏側をスキャンし、イラストレーターでトレースし制作された。 プリント紙は、滲み得る薄さとクラフト感のある上質紙としてMontesion paper 97GSMを使用。ノート・黒インク・赤と青のペン – 書き物を想起させる最小単位の象徴的カラーで構成されている。
